Who we are
Peter Shaw founded Brand Catalyst in September 2005. He has been working as a brand strategist on brands, famous and niche, for over twenty years, at Research International, Saatchi & Saatchi, CLK and Corporate Edge. He was one of the management buy-out team that bought CLK and Michael Peters Ltd in 1997 to form Corporate Edge, then the UK’s largest independent branding consultancy.
Peter is a full member of D&AD and sits on the editorial board of The Journal of Brand Management. Peter has worked with businesses as diverse as Anchor, British Airways, BAE Systems, Burton’s Foods, Cadbury, Castrol, Nectar, Nokia and the RSPCA.
Allan Burrell is a highly talented designer and has worked for various London-based design agencies, including Corporate Edge where he was a design director. Allan specialises in creating brand identities and has led a broad range of design projects across financial services, fmcg, government, hotels, B2B services and real estate. Allan is Brand Catalyst’s lead identity designer.

What we do
Our job is to help businesses create and develop distinctive brands that will drive growth. We work with not-for-profit organisations too. Our expertise lies in identifying what will set a business apart, creating a powerful brand idea against that, developing the offer and creating powerful design and communications in support of that offer.
We are expert at gaining deep insights into customers, employees and broader stakeholders, and at identifying what to leverage within an organisation. We work with our clients to execute the brand through product and service innovation, design, employee engagement and communication.
